Roomates!

Yesterday, was a great day. I for the first time I met a fellow future Disney Careerstart Cast Member. One day, on the Disboards I was snooping on the Parent thread when I came across a woman that said she was from Mass. Well, I live five minutes from Mass and work there too, so I needed to know what part they were from. I asked, and she said Franklin. Franklin! That's only two towns over from Woonsocket, and when I was a little girl I was even forced to hang out in Franklin at my dad's friend's house. So realizing that we must live only fifteen or so minutes apart, me and the woman's daughter; Caitie, added each other on facebook. We decided that over our mutual spring break we would get together.

Yesterday was that day. We met up at Friendly's and had dinner. We discussed everything from school to anything to do with Disney. It went really well. So well, in fact that Caitie and I decided to be roommates when we get down to Disney, and I couldn't be happier.

The night only got better though. When I went on the boards I saw that Steph and Nichele along with their roommates Brittany and Taylor were looking for one more couple to fill their future apartments. Well, since I talk to Steph and Nichele more than almost anyone on the Dis I thought coming home to read that was like a destiny of sorts.

So know as long as we get there early enough and stick together, I have my roommates. We will have a three bedroom apartment and the rooms will be Steph-Brittany, Nichele-Taylor, and Jess-Caitie. I couldn't be happier and I am so excited to go shopping with my roommate (for our bathroom stuff and corkboard) and finally get down to check in to meet the rest of you!

P.S I can already tell people are gonna be jealous of our apartment. =p

137 =)

There are 137 days left until check-in for my Disney Careerstart program.

The number 37 is a lucky one for me, it stems from the band Punchline. So I figured, I 'd post a blog to honor that i only have 137 days until I will be in Orlando living the dream. Right now, I'm just trying to figure out the trip down that me and my dad will be taking. I want to book some of the rooms and get other stuff straightened out next week during April vacation. So far I have deduced that this would be an ideal trip for me:
  • Saturday August 28, leave and drive 10 hours to Pittsburgh, PA. I would then visit Point Park University and stay the night in Pittsburgh.
  • Sunday August 29, I would then drive as much of the fifteen hours left that we could, stopping in some random hotel.
  • Monday August 30, arrive in Orlando rather early in the mornings then take a trip to SEA WORLD!!! Follewed by checking in to Pop Century Resort for the next to nights.
  • Tuesday August 31, explore POP Century and Orlando while getting some last minute things done.
  • Wednesday September 1, CHECK IN!

This is a rough sketch of what I would like to do. But I think money will keep seaworld from happening at that point. Either way I am just really excited to get down to Disney and meet my wonderful ndew friends from the boards and facebook.

Things I Want to Do in Orlando!

I'm feeling a little bummed today, and lately. I really just can't wait for school to end and to be done with working at Park N Shop. So I decided to make a little list of some things I plan on doing in orlando and at Disney.
1. Visit Seaworld-- I have never been to seaworld and even with the recent whale attacks I still have heard marvelous things about this different type of theme park. It would be fun to mix it up one day and go there instead of a Disney park!
2.Universal Studios--So excited to visit both parks this time. Again I think it would be great to take a little time off from Disney and just go to a different park. I can't wait to see the Harry Potter stuff. Also, I plan on going more than once, because its way cheaper to spend 139 on an annual holder ticket for both parks than it is for one ticket at 109.
3.Disney Resorts-- Every Disney resort looks amazing, and whenever I went to Florida we stayed offsite so I've never experienced that side of Disney. I want to visit every value resort(at least). They also look they have amazing photo taking opportunities. Plus, where else am I going to enjoy the kitchen sink? On a side note, I hope to work in Everything POP shopping and dining in the Pop Century resort.
4.Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach-- Obvious way to spend a gorgeous Orlando day!
5.Tower of Terror-- I have only ridden Tower of Terror once in my lifetime, so I would be excited to take one day and rid TOT more than once in a row just for fun.
6.Character Contest-- Wouldn't it be fun to have a character contest between roommates or just CS friends, that whoever took the most pictures with characters throughout our stay would win? Just a thought.
7. Downtown Disney Characters in Flight-- I plan on doing this on a beautiful night.
8. Visit Miami-- It's not that far away, only like two and a half hours. So I'd like to see a different side of florida.
9. Dinner at Cinderella's Castle-- Even though its expensive I want to eat there just to say I have.
10. All four parks in one day-- I've never had park hopper access so doing all four parks in one day off is going to be a treat.

There's my list for now, I'm sure I'll add to it.
