little post.

everything here is great. I love the weather, the food, the apartment, my roommates and friends. I am very happy here. So far, anyways. I started my on the job training with Nelson yesterday. He was an awesome trainer. I learned busing and how to close the beverage cart. Busing is actually a lot of fun. With a good enough amount of guest interaction. I really liked it. And that's what I will be doing today from 11-5. Or as its known here 1100-1700. I had a crappy day yesterday, but that was just a case of nerves and other stuff I guess. When I came back to the apartment building I had a great time. It seems like that's what this program is. A mixture of every emotion, but the good ones always weigh out the bad. At least for me. So there's my update.

Apartment 206 is where its at! haha. I have completed Traditions and Discovery Day at Epcot. Where I will be working quick service at the electric umbrella.

Pittsburgh

My trip has started to go so much better than yesterday. Yesterday was the most stressful day I think I've ever had. I broke down for a second time after my last post. But you know what, its all good now.

Last night I stayed in Pittsburgh, I went there to check out a school called Point Park University. Well I love Pittsburgh. It is so pretty. The architecture was beautiful and I could see myself there. So after Disney I am Pittsburgh PA bound.

There's my little update for you. I am sitting in a hotel in South Carolina, six hours away form Orlando. So tomorrow I get to meet some awesome people and be in Florida finally!

On My Way

I left today! Bright and early this morning I took off on my way to Orlando via Pittsburgh. Well then this funny little thing happened. After only an hour and a half of driving my car broke down. Yupppp. So right now I'm typing this inside of a Dunkin Donuts. Where for the next fourish hours I get to wait. Oh well I guess worst things have happened. But this is my little. I'm annoyed and a little upset really short post. Hope your trips are smoother. Also I will probably only get to Orlando really late Monday instead of early afternoon. Just so you all know.

Last week with the friends =(

So everyone, this is my second to last week of the summer. Its been a good one. Nah, its been a really great one. And thats why it hurts so much to know that this is the last week me and my friends will be able to hang out, all of us, until god knows when. We are all leaving around august 27,28, and 29. But next week is my mom's vacation so I will be doing cool things with the family all week. So since this was my last week free to plan I tried to fit everything and everyone in and here's my schedule:

Monday: I went to lunch shopping and the movies with my sister (saw toy story 3 for the fourth time, yah I know.)

Tuesday (today): This here is a biggie. Me, Ariel, Brigid, and my fav cousin Jon are going to Southwicks zoo. Why the zoo? We really don't know but through the library its only five bucks so why not? Then we will come back here and chill (something we do best) have one last fire(most likely the last one) with everyone else including eating some lovely sundaes then do a sleepover in my camper. This sleepover will include a rousing game of Cranium WOW, and then a breakfast at friendly's in the morning.

Wednesday: After breakfast, I will come home clean up and then go to lunch with my favorite field hockey teammate, Sarah. We regularly get lunch, and she was one of the first people I told all about Disney. She was so important and made me appreciate her even more than I already do. After lunch is my Grandma's birfday. Love her! So we will head on over there.

Thursday: That's another big day. Its ultimate JessCorey day. Me and my best friend will go to six flags and have an amazing day. And then we will be absolute lunatics and come home and get ready for the club. Now don't think I'm a party animal because I'm not. And most of us have never been before and just thought it would be a cool thing to do before we all go our separate ways.

Friday:After the club I will sleepover Beth's which is a favorite pasttime of mine =) I will then hopefully set up my macbook, go chill with both my grandmother's, then most likely back to Beth's once she is done school for movies and junk food.

Yes, I just like making lists. Haha. I'm so looking forward to this week. Just the thought puts a smile on my face, and then a frown when I think about how this is the end.

Taxfree Shopping!!

So Saturday and Sunday were taxfree weekend in Mass. I definately helped contribute to the chaos of this....by buying everything left on my shopping list. Beginning with a trek to the apple store. I am a Mac, definately not a PC. And for the degree I will be pursueing in fall 2011, entertainment management, owning a macbook and not a plain old laptop is mandatory. Now don't get me wrong. I still like macs and if it wasn't for my chosen career I probably would have never invested in a macbook at this stage in life. But for me, it makes sense to own this unbelievably amazing computer right now. Except, there's another thing you should know about me. I am a bargain shopper. I will not rest until I get the most for my money. Well incomes taxfree weekend, and great rebates offered by Apple at this time. So (once my rebates come in) it will have cost me 1130 for a 13 inch Macbook Pro(which I got a 100 dollar discount for), an 8g iPod Touch (which was free after rebate), and a hp photosmart printer (which is only 30 dollars after rebate). Now I still spent a lot of money at once.... which is hard for me. But, I do feel good about everything I purchased there. But sadly for my wallet this was not where the shopping ended Saturday. No, it wasn't. I had a coupon thing for victoria secret PINK. So I bought two bras, got a free pair of panities, and got a laptop case. Again cheap...but money draining. Last but not least we headed off to Walmart. You all probably know this already. But when I went to Nashville my camera was (believed to be) stolen or lost. So I needed a digital camera. Because there is no way I would be heading down to Orlando with out one. So I went to walmart where the beautiful samsung dualview digital camera was on sale, used my gift card, and now own it. So overall. Saturday was a gratifying and yet sad day. Sad to part with my hard earned cash, yet soooo happy with my purchases and the sales I came across. I do not recommend spending this much money at once unless you have thought about it for two years the way I have. I do not plan on doing this anytime soon. But I do plan on loving these technological items as if they were a brand new puppy. My macbook pro=love. Just saying.

In Preparation!

Okay so I have been trying to do something everyday in preparation for Orlando. Today it was cleaning out my car and my trunk. So now I'm going to tell you something about me you probably don't know. I live out of my car. Like obviously I sleep in my bed in my parents house and stuff. But I often find everything I own in my car. And cleaning it doesn't last for too long. Because then I just go about my life and figure out that more stuff will pile up. So cleaning out the trunk was especially difficult. But I did it, so now I feel accomplished. And I have a newfound appreciation for my car. That was just a little CS update.

An Actual Careerstart Post

Okay, so JGL aside. In three weeks I will be on my way to Orlando (by way of pittsburgh). There is so much to do. I have made my list of things to do, and I have a feeling it is not finished yet haha. But it is two sheets long. Today I tackled my room and nightstand. I cleaned my room until it was everyday looking clean. It was a pigsty. yuck! Then I went after my nightstand. Lets just say its like two draws full of everything hair, makeup and jewelry with random stuff thrown in. All the stuff I've acquired in the last .... Oh I don't know eighteen years. Well now, I threw out the stuff I didn't want. Then I decided what to take with me and leave here. Then I cleaned it all. And I cleaned my make up bag. It was a trip and a half. And for the next two weeks I'm doing this with every part of my room. and car. Which is like cleaning and packing up my life. So weird.

On a different note, I'm so excited for this chapter of my life! I'm excited to meet you all and live with caitie. She'll be an awesome roommate! I'm excited to start a new job. Live in a new place. Be around warm weather. Go to Disney whenever I want. And have awesome friends!! I know this will be the experience of a lifetime and I am wicked excited to begin this adventure.

Are we recording? Hit RECord!

So as my love for Joseph Gordon Levitt has grown (which after 500 days of summer I didn't know was possible) I've found out some cool stuff. Like how when he went to columbia (!) he only took classes in french, he dated julia stiles, and most importantly.... hitRECord.org. This is JGL (snl called him jiggle hahahaha)'s website. But its so much more than a website. It is a professional production company. A collaborative creative everyone contributes company. And Morgan M. Morgansen is a video they created. Its amazing. I'm buying the tshirt. Anyways. This site, that I joined, has amazed me and allowed me to love him even more. So thats my update.

Celebrity Love

Okay, So Haley's post about her Inception obsession led me to write this post. I figured why not share with you all my celebrity crushes. The number one being is Joseph Gordon-Levitt. There is no question that he is my number one celebrity love. He is smart, adorable, and such a good actor. He's charming and dapper as me and Haley dubbed him. And definately isn't one of those cocky celebrity bitches haha. My love for him began last summer when me and my friend went to see (500) Days of Summer. That's probably my favorite movie. Ever. It's the movie that I always said should be made, but they did it better. And the cast is stellar. The movie even earned Joseph Gordon levitt a Golden Globe nomination. Anywho, That movie made my life. And sparked a celebrity crush within me for the leadin man. Haha. Well this week, I went to see Inception. It was amazing. I am already making plans to see it again. I will buy the dvd (and I don't buy many dvds). I have pure love for this phenomonen. And it reinforced my love for the talented Joseph Gordon Levitt. My favorite part of the entire movie (this is not a spoiler) is when everyone is staring at him and Ellen page so he says, kiss me. And when she does, nothing changes. So he says "well it was worth a shot" In that charming little way of his. All in all, Inception was amazing as is (500) Days of Summer. And I have a celebrity love for Joseph Gordon Levitt.

And here's some other guys on the big screen I love, Ryan Reynolds. Funny and hot? wow.
Leonardo DiCaprio. Okay so I'll admit it. There was a time when I didn't understand his appeal. Loved his acting, but not always him. This surely has changed. And his last two movies I saw were beyond amazing. (shutter island and the previously mentioned Inception)
And Jake Gyllanhael. He's cute. charming. and just ahhh (donnie darko) enough said.

Well those are the guys I can think of for now. You all should do this post too. Its fun.

Ending the challenge

Okay, So I've been sucky at my bloggin. But theres a couple reasons for that. First I went away to Nashville for a week and was unable to. Then I had my wisdom teeth removed, and to this day feel crappy. But I also ended up ignoring this out of pure boredness with the challenge thing. I don't know why but I decided I'm done. 11+12

Okay so here are 11 and 12, the other two will come later today in a different post that way they aren't forever and a day long.

11- Favorite animal sidekick(s)

My absolute favorite animals are Timon and Pumba.

They are like two peas in a pod and cannot be separated. I love how they always want to help Simba out like true friends would. And the whole time they are doing this they crack me up. My favorite scene of the entire movie is when Timon and Pumba have their song. Its great.

11 and a half

I would like to give a shout out to my boy Rex. He's probably my favorite sidekick of all time. but I felt that him being a dinosaur toy he was not qualified for either animal or nonanimal.

12-Non Animal sidekick

Boo! I love boo. she's adorable. and I picked her as my favorite nonanimal sidekick because I love that she's a sidekick to animals(well monsters).

10-- Hair

Ariel has the prettiest princess hair ever. It makes her unique and recognizable. It also adds to her mermaid appeal. Thus Ariel has my favorite Disney hair.

9~Favorite Couple

There are so many wonderful couples to choose from... but only two really stick out in my mind. The runner up being Jasmine and Aladdin because of how perfectly together. And the winners are (drumroll please.....)

Shang and Mulan

These two amaze me with how adorable they are and how destined for each other they truly are. All things that make a Disney couple spectacular. Shang cannot deny his connection to Mulan even when he thinks of her as a man. They are always in sync and care about the other ones, even in their odd predictament. Then Captain Shang discovers that his favorite recruit is in fact a woman. You can see the look of hurt on his face when he walks into the medical tent. But even after everything she has put him through he loves her. He cannot deny his love for Mulan and when he offers her the sword at the end in the garden it is such a touching moment. It is obvious that these two are meant for each other.

*8* Saddness =,(

The saddest moment in a Disney movie to me, is the death of Mufasa. The beginning of the movie introduces us to not only cute little Simba, but his majestic father Mufasa. Who is seemingly a wonderful ruler and father. Then we get crushed as Scar unfairly justifies killing his brother in order to gain power. I feel a jab of pain everytime that I see the look on Mufasa's face once he realizes he is losing his life only because of his brother's greed. There are two main reasons (besides the obvious fact of his complete death) that this moment ranks saddest. One, it was totally preventable as Scar was obviously evil and should have been banished a long time before this. And then the other reason is that Simba basically looks on as his father is murdered, and then is brainwashed into believing it was his fault. The effects this has on our protagonist is one of the things that makes me want to cry. I never really do, but I always feel pangs of saddness.

6+7

So I like everyone was really busy and missed a day of the challenge. Yesterday was my grad party which was a very good time! So I did not have the time to blog since I was doing stuff from the time i got up til when the party ended at 3 (after watching Donnie Darko late at night). Anywho.... here is my choices for six and seven--

Six-Prettiest Princess

I'm sorry but I don't care if this whole thing is some huge challenge. But I will not pick a prettiest princess. I have my favorites, but they are all beautiful in different ways. I mean belle with her huge eyes, Jasmine as an Arabic princess is so unique, Cinderella is has such a presence about her, Ariel is a beautiful redhead, Snow white is so demure, and though my least favorite Aurora has grace that any princess should. Which makes them all worthy of the Prettiest title.

Day 7-Favorite Castle

Cinderella's is my favorite. Only because it obviously held a special place in the genious Walt Disney's heart because it is the only one he treasured enough to bring to life as the main fixture of both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. I can't wait, however until the fantasyland expansion is complete to see all the princesses homes that they are adding in. But even still Cinderellas' is a majestic masterpiece. Especially at Christmas as shown in my picture.

Day 5! Favorite Kiss(es)

Well, I tried my hardest to not have any of these blogs contain a tie... but here it is. My choices for favorite kiss are kind of unusual. But I base my favorite kiss with different standards. Every movie has a sweet tender kiss that gets the two characters together for ever.... but I like my choices because they make me smile everytime I watch them and have such great meanings behind the scenes in which they happen.

The first one, is when after Sebastian is done singing Kiss the Girl, Prince Eric tries to kiss Ariel. But honestly this is an ultimate fail. Its so sweet though and purely honest. And maybe even hinting that kissing someone right away doesn't neccessarily mean you're meant to be... but someone who fights for you is really worth it. I also love that its so entirely clear that Ariel and Eric are meant to be with each other even though she doesn't speak at all. So though there is technically no kiss at this moment its still tied for my favorite kiss.

My other favorite kiss, is a real kiss, except its a daydream. In the princess diaries, Mia imagines what her first foot popping kiss will be like. Well, she imagines it with the wrong guy (michael is way cuter and so much better for her especially in the books). Well imagining it with the wrong guy ends up with her foot sticking to gum, and then getting caught in a net. So its comical, and life altering. Love it.

Day 4! Favorite Song

So I was kinda hoping that throughout this challenge I wouldn't talk about the same movie two days in a row. But thats not happening. My favorite song by far is A Whole New World from Aladdin. It's brilliant and magical. It's everything a good song should be. Its so very romantic and sung in unison. I love the duet quality. Also I love how at the end of the song they sit and watch fireworks and Jasmine calls Aladdin out because she knows he's the guy from the streets that she's always loved. This song is just beautiful and I could listen to it over and over.

Day 3~Favorite Prince

I'm heading off to the beach with some lovely
people so I'm not sure I'd get any other time to write this challenge than now. So here it is. My favorite Prince as manny of you know is Aladdin (dubbed by Genie as Prince Ali). He was an orphaned beggar boy, but love and curiousity lead him to be more. Once he marries Jasmine he truly becomes a Prince. Aladdin is the perfect guy to me, because he's the cutest disney guy(yes Haley the cutest), he's the most charming 9even more than Prince Charming) and he's funny and cunning. He has real street skills(which being from Woonsocket I treasure lol). He's also just an all around smart and great guy. Oh and one last thing,,, every time I've ever seen an Aladdin at Disney they are oh so fine haha. I also admire Aladdin because though this is a love story and a traditional arrangement for Disney and it even features one of their princesses the movie is entitled Aladdin and focuses the story on him. So long story short Aladdin is wicked awesome. (and if you want to get technical about the prince thing... which I don't... my second fav is Eric thanks to Haley).

Roomie Adventure/ Toy Story 3(spoiler alert)

So, I've just gotten back from Rommie adventure numbah one! Me and Caitie (my future Dis roommate) and I went to Bellingham to night to hang out. We got some cold stone's(so good, but melted too quick), walked around a bit talking, and then saw Toy Story 3(for my third time and her second lol). We had a lot of fun getting to know each other even better, and the best part was watching the movie with someone who loved it just as much as me.

Now, for the movie. Since I've just watched it for the third time I'd like to use this blog to discuss the most awaited movie (by me) ever. ELEVEN YEARS!!!!! That's craziness. The first time I saw this movie was last thursday at the midnight showing, and while sitting on the hard tile allowing my butt to fall asleep waiting for them to let us into the theatre, I turned to my friend Brigid and said.... "You know, for most movies when a sequel comes out I'm petrified. I get so nervous that they are gonna ruin everything. But not this time, because pixar knows what to do" and then she turned to me and said "good, but this movie better be better than the first two combined because I want to sleep."

These quotes pretty much sum up the movie, or at least my take on it. No, I'm not sure if it was better than the other two combined, but it was AMAZING. There were moments were everyone in the theatre want to cry, we laughed, we awed and a smile did not escape from my face. The story line was brilliantly executed, and crafted. They covered abandonment and escape with a fresh take instead of rehashing old scenes from the first two movies. Our favorite characters were back with the same depth and the same stories to back them up. The only difference was the welcome Spanish mode Buzz, and of course the return of the AstroNut" which is always my favorite. Then the new characters didn't disappoint either. They blended right in with our old friends. Favorites of mine was the comedic take of Ken, and the new dinosaur Trixie who will make a fine match for my all time favorite guy Rex. Another impressive part was the character of Bonnie. Though the ending made all of us kids want to cry, Pixar knew how to do that while still leaving us happy. Bonnie is the most adorable pixar kid ever (even more so than Andy I think) and her spirit is in unison with our beloved Andy. If our toys had to be left at someone else's house to better their lives than I'm glad it was Bonnie's!

This leads me to another point. I've heard people calling this the final in a triology... however has Pixar ever released it as a finale? Because while the ending would leave one satisified, there is still more story that could be told. Why not develop Bonnie's other toys into full blown characters? If there ever was a group of story tellers able to take this series and add another sequel to it(which im sure would be just as popular as this one) and have the story still believeable and loveable, then the guys at Pixar could..

I could not have asked for a better addition to my favorite movie series. Thank you Pixar for astonishing me once again, this time with Toy Story 3!

Day 2~Favorite Princess

My favorite Princess is Belle from Beauty in the Beast. She always has been my favorite, ever since I was little. Also, just the story in genral has meant alot to me. I saw it on broadway and on ice. Also I performed in it during fourth grade (I played the aslyum guy and a towns girl). I've always related the most to Belle, because she was able to be herself no matter what anyone thought. And, though I don't look like her, she is the Princess that closest resembles me what with dark hair and dark eyes. I love the Belle has the power to be who she wants to be, and the courage to stand up to anyone including a ferocious beast and a pretenious jerk (gaston) all to protect her father and what she believes in. Belle is and has always been my favorite Princess.

Bored, and thinking... what a combination

So I'm a little bored on this tuesday night, and have already used up a blog challenge.... so I've just been sitting around thinking about Disney and decided to blog about it. I had this crazy idea... well its not crazy just random. I think that all of us Disboarders (and others too) should start our own little challenge thing when we get down there. I think we should do a Character Challenge...like something about whoever takes the most pictures with the most characters wins. But there has to be rules, and maybe even a point system. Like

1point for a normal easy too find character

half a point for a common character in a different outfit(like safari mickey compared to regular mickey)

and two points for rare characters (ones that aren't always out)

We could even decide to stretch this for our entire program or just one month, one week, or i guess even one day.

Okay, yes I have no life, but it was just an idea I had. Let me know what you think.

Day 1~Favorite Disney Movie

TOY STORY

This probably comes as no surprise, but my all time favorite Disney movie is Toy Story. There's so many reasons why, and I'm happy to be able to use this blog to explain them.

First of all, I am the most proud of this movie then anything else Disney has created. It's changed the face of modern animation, which was not an easy feat. Toy Story is the first movie that Disney and Pixar put out, and since its release there have been ten more Pixar films that have all been high successes. Not only did Toy Story help provide us Disney fanatics with such classics as Finding Nemo and Up, but this film also gave way to its two sequels. Both of these sequels have their own accomplishments. Toy Story 2, showed the world that a sequel CAN be just as good as the first. It also highlighted the brillance of Pixar's heartwarming moments such as Jessie in her seen "When she loved Me." And now the third one(which I plan on providing an entire blog post for) is on its way to breaking records.

Besides, the brilliant animation and all of the works that we have been blessed by because of Toy Story, there are other reasons why I love this film. Every single character is appealing to me, honestly I even enjoy the character of Sid because I can totally picture him as the kid that used to live next door to me. Each character has their own flaws (Woody is insanely jealous, while Rex has small arms). And each has their own story lines. But all fit into one evenly crafted fresh plot line. Never before were toys such appealing characters as they are in Toy Story.

I could watch this movie(and its sequels) everyday. And sometimes I do. I own a Mrs. Potato Head, a Rex stuff animal, and wayyyyyyy too many Toy Story Knick Knacks. When down in Florida, if given the opportunity to work at Pizza Planet I would be more than thrilled. Because not only is Toy Story my favorite Disney movie of all time, its my favorite movie of all time.

CHALLENGE

Okay so here's a quick update. starting tomorrow I will be participating in Haley's Disney 30 Day challenge. I would post the list of each thing we have to pick and describe, but my computer won't let me copy it onto here. But just you all wait to see all my answers =)

Graduation and Such

Okay, so I haven't written a blog in a long time. Well, there is a reason for that. First, nothing worth writing about was happening. And then all of a sudden everything was. And therefore this blog will be looong to make up for it. Anyways here it goes. This past week was senior week that led up into graduation and it was more fun then I thought it would be (but I think that's because I made it that way haha). So this is how my week went. Once you all start spending time with me you'll see that I like to use lists alot sinc e I find it easier for my jumbled mind to be organized.

Monday--This was the first day of rehearsels and it was pretty pointless if you were a part of NHS. All that monday consisted of was lining up behind who you were supposed to be. So honor society kids already knew and had already done this so we went through mad quick. Then I had a quick theatre rehearsel (we did a mini glee tribute dance thing at graduation). After that I was happy to go to lunch with two of my close friends Emily and Corey at the Castle. We had fun but had a kooky waiter. It made me realize how much I'm gonna miss them (well technically I already knew that since Corey had been missing all year.)

Tuesday--This was the most boring day of all becaus eit was another pointless rehearsel... but then only work followed.

Wednesday--This was class day. Where we all dress up in our caps and gowns and get awards. I actually won two one for business and one for French. So that was cool. But what was not was having to listen to a slect member jazz band performance. I don't know if any of you are Lady Gaga fans but some kids from my school tortured Bad Romance and it was terrible. Much later I went shopping and then to friendly's with my friend Brigid (and again I was reflective of the past four years and how much I'll miss laughing with that girl).

Thursday-- This was probably my favorite day of the week. In the morning we had rehearsel (yes they make us rehearse this many times because apparently getting 335 kids to walk in a straight line is hard haha). But after was the senior cookout. And even though I just can't wait to be away from Woonsocket it was nice to spend one last time with everyone. Including the principals who got into the dunk tank. Afterwards though we went to my friend's house and blue up a million balloons while watching Toy Story.... because that night we went to see Toy Story 3 at midnight. It was awesome and I think later in the week (after I see it a couple more times) I'm going to dedicate a whole blog to it. There were even kids dressed up as Sid, Buzz, Woody and a male Bo Peep.

Friday--This was graduation day. The day I had been waiting for for thirteen years. I had such a great time, especially since I got to sit with my best friend Corey on one side(he;s the one in the pic on the top of the page) and my other friend Kim. The three of us just commented on everything and made the day fun even though it was so hot. After graduation and dinner with my family we threw a mini fire at my house which is a summer staple. I had way more fun graduating than I had thought I would.

Saturday-- i stopped by three parties and had I a pretty good day seeing everyone. Other events also allowed me to come to the realization that with Disney right around the corner I need to cut all the negitive influences out of my life once and for all.

So anyways, Like I said this blog was really long. But get used to it because I tend to be a long-winded person. Overall, this past week was a great conclusion to my high school career. And now I can't wait to be on my way to Disney. Look out for many more blogs ahead because its summer and I'll have a little bit of time on my hands. =)

GREASE =)

So, as most of anyone reading this blog knows, this past weekend I was in my high school's performance of GREASE. When I say a high school performance, thats a stretch. We are high school kids (except for one guy), but the show is more professional than anything else. We have set and sound guys that usually work with people in Hollywood (like real stars). My teacher is the director and is an equity actress who has a broadway national tour credit. You get my point. Not only was this show very professional, it was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I had the amazing opportunity to play one of the lead characters, Jan. She is a goofy, pigtail-wearing, constantly-eating loud mouth and a lot of fun to portray. I felt so honored to play her, I even almost cried when I was told multiiple times, and even by my teacher, that "Forget Sandy and Rizzo, Jan stole the show". This was such big praise considering, the girl playing Sandy is one of my friends and is an awesome actress and phenomenal singer who will be famous one day (right now she's being looked at by producers for a role on GLEE). And the girl playing Rizzo was great too. Now with such great compliments I was filled with so many different emotions at the conclusion of the show Saturday night. I was exhausted from all of the hard work, hungry for not eating right for two weeks, shocked at people's reaction to my performance, in awe of the wonderful people I had the opportunity to share the stage with, and probably most importantly consumed with an eager to do it all over again.

Well, I just happen to be a senior. I am really excited to be getting out of Woonsocket and off to Disney, however this happens to mean that I can't be in the play next year. So I tried looking for things to do this summer. But I have two issues, One being I can't sing and the other that I have an FBLA competition in Nashville this July when most of the local shows have performances. Therefore, that didn't work. Well, I've set my sights on something different. In January when we all are able to extend and go to character auditions. I am determined to make it through. I'm even going to make my friend Corey try to teach me how to get a little better at dancing. My dream would be to become an ugly stepsister, particularly the brunette one. I think that would be a perfect role for me. Then I would get to be goofy and use all of my mannerisms. This my biggest goal for the current future.

So overall, GREASE was a rewarding experience, and one that I am so grateful to have been a small part of . It really encouraged me to pursue my dream of being a Disney character. I plan on working hard this summer to make this possible in January. I can picture myself in the costume interacting with all of the little kids that would hate me if I was an Ugly Stepsister. I can't wait!

My Goals =)

So I decided to share a little more about myself right now. For the majority of my school career I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do. If anyone asked, I'd say I wanted to be a writer, because who would want to stand there and read junk just prove I was good. you know? And yes, there was a point in my life where I loved writing so much I would have loved to do it but then I realized how tedious the whole process is. So I spent my high school career with not a clue what I wanted to do. I knew who I was, I just didn't know how I'd fit into the career world. Well then one day while I was at a Punchline concert in Providence it hit me, I want to be in the entertainment world. Everyday, and everywhere I am surrounded by various forms of entertainment and art, and I love very second of it. I'd love to be the person to help some talented individual reach all of their dreams, and this is partially due to the fact that one of my best friends is an amazing ballet dancer. I love seeing how excited he gets over every opportunity given to him, and I want to do that for someone else. So halfway through last year I officially decided when I grow up I'm going to be one of those coldhearted, greedy, skeezy entertainment people. Just kidding, but along with this commitment comes a few goals, I have set for myself. So here they are:

~Complete the Disney Careerstart Program (obviously)

~Attend Character auditions

~Recieve a Ducktorate

~Double major in Entertainment Management and Business Administration

~Study Abroad in Australia

~Do a Disney PI

~Get my MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business with the concentration of Entertainment, Media and Technology.

~Travel the World (especially England, Paris, and Sydney)

~Be at least one person's talent manager

~Work for Disney as a Salaried position

~Live in LA

~See every great part of this country

Now, these goals and dreams of mine are only aspirations that I know could change or be hindered at any time. But, these goals are a great part of who I am, and who I aim to be and a large reason for my decision to enter the Disney Careerstart Program. Thanks for reading!

Roomates!

Yesterday, was a great day. I for the first time I met a fellow future Disney Careerstart Cast Member. One day, on the Disboards I was snooping on the Parent thread when I came across a woman that said she was from Mass. Well, I live five minutes from Mass and work there too, so I needed to know what part they were from. I asked, and she said Franklin. Franklin! That's only two towns over from Woonsocket, and when I was a little girl I was even forced to hang out in Franklin at my dad's friend's house. So realizing that we must live only fifteen or so minutes apart, me and the woman's daughter; Caitie, added each other on facebook. We decided that over our mutual spring break we would get together.

Yesterday was that day. We met up at Friendly's and had dinner. We discussed everything from school to anything to do with Disney. It went really well. So well, in fact that Caitie and I decided to be roommates when we get down to Disney, and I couldn't be happier.

The night only got better though. When I went on the boards I saw that Steph and Nichele along with their roommates Brittany and Taylor were looking for one more couple to fill their future apartments. Well, since I talk to Steph and Nichele more than almost anyone on the Dis I thought coming home to read that was like a destiny of sorts.

So know as long as we get there early enough and stick together, I have my roommates. We will have a three bedroom apartment and the rooms will be Steph-Brittany, Nichele-Taylor, and Jess-Caitie. I couldn't be happier and I am so excited to go shopping with my roommate (for our bathroom stuff and corkboard) and finally get down to check in to meet the rest of you!

P.S I can already tell people are gonna be jealous of our apartment. =p

137 =)

There are 137 days left until check-in for my Disney Careerstart program.

The number 37 is a lucky one for me, it stems from the band Punchline. So I figured, I 'd post a blog to honor that i only have 137 days until I will be in Orlando living the dream. Right now, I'm just trying to figure out the trip down that me and my dad will be taking. I want to book some of the rooms and get other stuff straightened out next week during April vacation. So far I have deduced that this would be an ideal trip for me:
  • Saturday August 28, leave and drive 10 hours to Pittsburgh, PA. I would then visit Point Park University and stay the night in Pittsburgh.
  • Sunday August 29, I would then drive as much of the fifteen hours left that we could, stopping in some random hotel.
  • Monday August 30, arrive in Orlando rather early in the mornings then take a trip to SEA WORLD!!! Follewed by checking in to Pop Century Resort for the next to nights.
  • Tuesday August 31, explore POP Century and Orlando while getting some last minute things done.
  • Wednesday September 1, CHECK IN!

This is a rough sketch of what I would like to do. But I think money will keep seaworld from happening at that point. Either way I am just really excited to get down to Disney and meet my wonderful ndew friends from the boards and facebook.

Things I Want to Do in Orlando!

I'm feeling a little bummed today, and lately. I really just can't wait for school to end and to be done with working at Park N Shop. So I decided to make a little list of some things I plan on doing in orlando and at Disney.
1. Visit Seaworld-- I have never been to seaworld and even with the recent whale attacks I still have heard marvelous things about this different type of theme park. It would be fun to mix it up one day and go there instead of a Disney park!
2.Universal Studios--So excited to visit both parks this time. Again I think it would be great to take a little time off from Disney and just go to a different park. I can't wait to see the Harry Potter stuff. Also, I plan on going more than once, because its way cheaper to spend 139 on an annual holder ticket for both parks than it is for one ticket at 109.
3.Disney Resorts-- Every Disney resort looks amazing, and whenever I went to Florida we stayed offsite so I've never experienced that side of Disney. I want to visit every value resort(at least). They also look they have amazing photo taking opportunities. Plus, where else am I going to enjoy the kitchen sink? On a side note, I hope to work in Everything POP shopping and dining in the Pop Century resort.
4.Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach-- Obvious way to spend a gorgeous Orlando day!
5.Tower of Terror-- I have only ridden Tower of Terror once in my lifetime, so I would be excited to take one day and rid TOT more than once in a row just for fun.
6.Character Contest-- Wouldn't it be fun to have a character contest between roommates or just CS friends, that whoever took the most pictures with characters throughout our stay would win? Just a thought.
7. Downtown Disney Characters in Flight-- I plan on doing this on a beautiful night.
8. Visit Miami-- It's not that far away, only like two and a half hours. So I'd like to see a different side of florida.
9. Dinner at Cinderella's Castle-- Even though its expensive I want to eat there just to say I have.
10. All four parks in one day-- I've never had park hopper access so doing all four parks in one day off is going to be a treat.

There's my list for now, I'm sure I'll add to it.

~I am graduating on June 18th from Woonsocket High School from a class of 334 kids.

~I played field hockey in school for my whole hs career and was captain this year.

~My best friend is my cousin Beth

~I work in a grocery store

~I've been in the future Business leaders of America club for two years. Last year I attended a leadership conference in Anaheim, CA and went to Disneyland. This year I will be traveling to Nashville.

~On May 13,14,and 15 I will be performing as Jan in Grease with my school's theater class. These are professional large scale performances and I'm honored to be a part of it.

~After CS Fall 2010 I plan on going to college for entertainment and arts management and work for Disney on a larger scale after graduating from (hopefully) Drexel University.
